Trip back to Seattle

October 3-5, 2010 Our trip back to Seattle from Salt Lake City.

First night we stayed at "Catfish Junction" a cool little RV park on the Columbia River. This was a "Passport America" RV park...so, as members getting our 50% discount, we only had to pay $11. Can't beat that for a night's lodging.

These views were from our spot in the park.

On to Sunnyside, WA the second day...and we went to Prosser, WA (just south of Yakima) and visited the Wine Country Village. There were somewhere near 20 wineries in Prosser, and this particular building had "tasting rooms" for 7 of them...with an outdoor courtyard.

Some had stand-alone buildings, and also served meals.

The entire area was surrounded by beautiful gardens.

We saw mile after mile of grape fields...and inquired about the tall stakes in some of the fields. We were told that this is how they set the fields to grow "hops" for beer. :-)

Our RV park for Monday night was also a Passport America park...a bit more expensive...it cost $12 for the night. :-) The Manager, Patti, was a real cool decorator...had to take pics of the Halloween creatures.
