September 29-October 2, 2010 Send Out Cards convention (SOC) in Salt Lake City, UT
What a great 3 days. "Making a Difference" by Acting on your promptings by sending cards...and "Making a Difference" by sharing the opportunity. Great speakers: Kathy Ireland, and Thurl Bailey. The Moderator - Linda Clemons - was terrific. On Thurs night, Wendi, and Colleen had a dinner for their teams at "Ruth's Diner" located on the Salt Lake side of the mountain just east of town. We met a couple (Mike and Darlene) who are full time RVers like us. Great chats!!!! The last day there were two presentations to this year's recipients of the Make A Wish foundation...a little boy who wanted to be Happy Man so that he could ZAP happiness on all people. With his newly created costume, and his "own" Happy Man comic book created just for the occasion...he had the opportunity to ZAP happiness on 3500 people. The little girl who has a brain tumor wanted to go on a Disney cruise with her family. That wish was also granted by SOC - a partner with "Make a Wish."
Great presentations throughout the 3 days from SOC leaders. Next year the convention will be in Las Vegas...they've outgrown the Salt Palace.
