This is a first...and maybe a last! Never can tell. We are actually posting on the same day as the activity. We went to Riverside park in Downtown Spokane - the site of the 1974 World Fair. We were there in 1974 with the Bismarck Elks Chorus...Bradley was with us...although he probably doesn't remember much of the trip, as it took place about 6 weeks before he was born. :-)
This carousel was in the park - and had been there since 1907. Beautiful. (No, we didn't take a ride on it.)
We took the sky-ride over the Spokane Falls. In a gondola. Beautiful views. A relaxing afternoon. Views of the Spokane River from the Gondola, and the falls.
Tomorrow we head out for Seattle. We may or may not get there by Saturday night...depends on the roads. Also depends on whether we decide to have a special dinner out for our 45th Wedding anniversary. Some of our last "jaunts" have been plagued by "Road under construction." This makes the drive a bit tedious. We have reminded ourselves that , after all, we are on retirement time. Only real schedule left on our "schedule" is the Send Out Cards convention in Salt Lake City the end of Sept, beginning of Oct. From then forward, we'll be meandering, and putsing (isn't that what retirees are supposed to do?)...with a grand focus on staying ahead of cold weather as we work our way down the California coast.
