Coeur d'Alene

September 16, 2010

We usually show the great parks we stay in with the RV...but in Coeur d'Alene, we parked in the Walmart parking lot. :-)

Our trip into town was "fun." The heritage museum was very informative, and I can now share with friends and family that the Scandinavians that didn't homestead in Wisconsin, Minnesota, or North Dakota, are all in Idaho. :-) The waterfront park by the lake was pristine. The grass was like velvet, and the flowers looked to be as fresh as spring.

We took a stroll around the "floating board walk" - about 2/3 of a mile around the marina outside "The Coeur d'Alene Golf and Spa Resort." And the home of the Hagedone Industries - which apparently have funded much of the beautification of the city.

After our stroll, we went to a restaurant we saw on a billboard...we were enticed by the $14.95 prime rib...and the fact that it was a floating restaurant. Pretty neat. And the restaurant was shaped "in the round" so that all seating had views of Lake Coeur d'Alene. Another great adventure!!!!
