The views in the harbor were outstanding. And we went through the museum at the light house and climbed the circular stairs to the top of the lighthouse. Cool experience...great views.
As we were leaving the museum, we heard "Is there a doctor in the house?" Ron said -" I'm a Chiropractor...what's happening." A gentleman was seated in a chair by the entrance...having a stroke. 911 was called...his wife was not allowed in the ambulance...and she didn't know how to drive. "We" volunteered to take her and her car to the hospital...and funny as it may seem...they had a Prius. Dad drove it...and I drove the red car. We stayed with her until she contacted her son.
So....our lunch at Shaws was delayed a bit. What an experience.
Lobster tank |
Lobster crates |
It was just a little shanty on the wharf...but the entertainment - while we shared a lobster roll, and calamari - was to watch the lobster boats come into the docks. We saw 5 or 6 boats unload...and each had 6 or more crates of lobsters in their tanks. Their take for the day had to be sorted by size before turning over to the merchants.
