Myrtle Beach, NC Oct 30-31, 2011

Of course we  found it necessary to take a side-trip to Myrtle Beach...there were more Hotels than I remembered from the previous visit...we came in on the south end...and traversed the boardwalk...and left on the north end.  The fishing pier was most interesting.  Had to pay a dollar each to go out and watch the fisherman...the pier was loaded.  I don't know what the fishermen had to pay in order to cast a reel into the waters.

The osprey circled around the poles...hoping to snag a fish before the fishermen could pull it up...or perhaps to snag the bait before a fish could nibble.  Not sure which was the biggest problem, but the fishermen were not happy with the  birds.

Really nice sandy beaches.  We did a lot of walking.  I guess while we're on the east coast, our major pasttime is walking the beaches when we can.

Great view of the hotels from the pier.

And of an RV park that was right on the water.

Love letters in the sand...just before we went in to Sea Captains House for a MARVELOUS DINNER...of course.
