Cafe Des Amis

March 26, 2011 Before leaving the Lafayette area, we HAD to visit Cafe des Amis. We were told about it from several sources...breakfast started at 7:30...the Zydeco band started at 8:30...in the morning!!! And we were told we better get there early, cause there are big lines outside. We were among the last 8-10 to be seated before the lines started to grow. Eat SLOWLY(we were told)...so you're still around when the band starts. We did it all just right!!!

The breast plate on the big fella in the last pic is like a washboard...a rhythm for the music. The food was incredible...and the band and the dancing were awesome. Quite an experience...again...in Breaux Bridge, LA. Once again, in the tradition of the Cajun culture..."Let the good times roll!!!."
