Leaving SKP in Pahrump

November 11-December 8, 2010

We had a great site at the Escapees park in Pahrump, NV. "Pair-A Dice" it was called. Over 200 sites - mostly filled with full-time residents. Laura, the front desk person was a gem. She was full of hugs and positive thoughts and comments about everything. And, very helpful when our furnace went out. Can you believe...waaaay back before we bought the RV...there were mud wasps who built a cool little nest in the burner grid...and we've been cooking the nest for better than a year and a half. [We had preventative screens put on all of the outlets before taking it out on the road...guess we sealed it in good.] Well...the nest broke loose, and clogged the system. Laura's recommendation for service was good...prompt...diagnosed and solved the problem...and it was only $30...She's a good gal!!!!
There was about 1-1/2 miles of road up and down between the rows and cross roads...so we had a good walk without going out of the park.

A great facility. And only 45 minutes from Las Vegas.

And the whole time we were there, we had the opportuity to watch Charleston Peak [In the Spring Mountain Range] collect snow...and then it melted...and then it snowed. Beautiful to watch the clouds

hover over the mountain...and there would be snow. [It was 60+ degrees where we were...at near sea level.]
